Sports

-

My favorite sport is Basketball. I have practised it since I was eight years old and I think that’s the only sport I’m good at. Also, basketball is a sport that brings me good memories. I like it because you’re always in movement but the yard is not that big so don’t get tired so easily as in soccer.

A sport that I really dislike is baseball. Seeing it on TV is boring and when I tried to play with my brother, I never could hit the ball, even if I did my best effort. I think just Colombians and Puerto Ricans are good enough to play this game and when my friends want me to play this game with them, I just avoid it.

TV Show

-

I don’t watch TV so much but I really like documentaries about history and how the things are done in factories like “How it’s made?” in Discovery Channel and “Ultimate Factories” in National Geographic.  I think that’s very interesting and instead of wasting our time. Is pretty nice learning something new with all those programs.

I don’t really like watching soap operas. I think they are too mainstream and exaggerated. Mostly, a korean soap opera called “Playful Kiss”. The story is based on a comic, so it is unreal enough to make a soap opera of it. The plot is very stupid and all the scenes seems to have been taken out from a wacky dream. Also, I hate any program with mellowness and sweetness overloaded and this is the most pure example of that

Music

-

I don’t usually like a genre of music. I better go for a good and talented artist, independently of the genre. My favorite artist is Christofer Drew because I find him very original. He makes acoustic, electronic, hardcore, pop, rock and folk music. His lyrics are extremely beautiful and motivational.

I really hate reggaeton. I find it very disgusting, mostly when people are grinding. I think reggaeton is a degradation of music, because it doesn’t need a singer with great vocals, and the music is not original at all.

Books

-

The best book for me is “Seeds of Yesterday” by V.C. Andrews, that is the fourth book of the saga of “Dollanganger Series”. It mixes horror with mystery which I like a lot. The story is mainly about 2 sibling that are enclosed in the attic of their grandparents’ house by their mother to win an heritage. In this book they got at least  revenge of their mother, describes the aftermath in their lives and has a quite dramatic end. I couldn’t help tearing while I was reading this book.

A book that I didn’t like very much is “Lord God Made Them All” by James Herriot. I tried to read it without dozing but it was impossible. For me,

this book is really boring, it only relates the life of an old man -too boring, by the way-. At first I thought this could be a fairly good motivational book but I regret to say this is only a biography and it has no motivational phrases but I think an old person would be fine reading this book in his leisure time.

Movies

My favourite movie so far is “Confessions”, a Japanese thriller about a middle school teacher. Her daughter has been murdered by two students of her class so she announces to her classroom that she has injected HIV contaminated blood into the milk cartons that the murderers have just drank from. I love watching this movie because it makes me think on how the teacher got her revenge and this movie talks about several problems in the modern society.

I really love horror movies but I regret spending 2 hours of  my life watching “Suicide Club”, a japanese horror movie about the teenagers’ trend of commiting suicide just for fun and to follow “a cult”. This movie didn’t make me feel scared at all. I expected to see something else than people bleeding and dying everywhere without sense. The plot is pretty bad.
